trips to have excellent food and slurpy noodles.

great beards and greater weather.

lifelong friends, delicious presentation, and powdered sugar noses.

crafty goodness and gifts sent to faraway states.

quiet mornings with the perfect latte.

new places featuring some of my favorite drinks.

sincerely, my new favorite drink.
please go try this beet-infused tequila cocktail.
you will not regret it. and please invite me when you go.

edible faces on thoughtful gifts from sweet friends.

Has the first month of the new year been good to you?

christmas 2013.

This Christmas was spent in Colorado with my mom's side of the family.
It was fabulous as usual!
Denver is my happy place. And the weather was gorgeous!
We kept up with old traditions and began some new ones.
Christmas was made even more sweet with the addition of 2 new ones in the family.
Coming to Denver and being with family always fills my heart to the brim.

Happy, happy.
 wrapping homemade caramels.

Pop reading the Word to remind us
what Christmas is all about.
Rolling homemade gnocchi with the McNabb family
Brunch with a sweet friend from college.

What did you do for Christmas? I hope your heart is full!

things i love - november.

Ya'll. These posts are my favorite to write, especially during a month when everyone is really reflecting on what they're thankful for.
I could go on and on about the things in my life that I'm grateful for and those that just make me smile a little extra during my day, so I'll start with a few here:
Early morning breakfasts with my soon-to-be roommate.

Late nights spent in my backyard staring at a full moon and quickly traveling clouds.

This quote from an NPR article about a favorite childhood author of mine.

Hello Kitty donuts and ones topped with Fruity Pebbles to make me feel like a kid again.

The gorgeous changing leaves to remind me that sometimes Texas does have seasons.

Highly anticipated restaurant openings.

My blue-eyed, chipmunk-cheeked, sweeeeet nephew!

This fantastic blog that I wish I'd come up with the idea for!

Happy month of Thanksgiving, ya'll!
What are a few things you're thankful for?

levi emerson.

It's been a while.
Lots of life has happened in between my last post and now.
Including, but not limited to, my new nephew! I am completely in love with the new man in my life.

In fact, I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves.
I apologize in advance for the sheer volume. Sorry, not sorry.

I just love every last part of him!
I can't promise that every post from here on out won't be him, but I'll try my best.
