things to do in dallas - klyde warren park.

Last year, Dallas built a 5.2 acre park on top of I-35. Sounds crazy, right?
There are so many great things to do there,  most of them for free, and I've never been disappointed when I go to check out an event at the Park.

They have food trucks daily, a small dog park, and lots of green space.
This summer, my mom and I went with Penelope to check out what the Park had to offer.
We ate banh mi, a Vietnamese sandwich, from nammi food truck (which is building a storefront!).

And we let Penny run around in the fountains.

We really had a great afternoon. Not to mention, the surrounding Arts District neighborhood isn't short on things to do either. The DMA is right around the corner, as well as the Nasher, the Perot Museum, and the Crow Collection of Asian Art. Even some of these things are free!

I've since been back (several times, but most notably) for a late-night event called Decks in the Park in which they bring DJs in to play sets for a few hours while you're welcome to sit and enjoy or dance til your feet fall off.
If nothing else, this set the stage for some great people-watching for my friend Marne and I.

There are so many events coming up that I look forward to checking out. Coming up this Saturday is a free boot camp at 9. Some days, the Park also has free yoga, Zumba, and even Insanity workouts!

So, which Klyde Warren Park event are you going to with me?
